Participation of the Training and Technology Transfer Service, through the CIFEAS of Molina de Segura and Lorca in the Meeting held in Retz, Austria from 24 to 27 October 2018, on «Quality in the learning process through sharing experiences and project results».
The Network of Agricultural Training Institutions brings together representatives from 25 European countries together with Austrian teachers, trainers and students in Austria from 24 to 27 October 2018.
The countries that participated in addition to Austria are: Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, FInland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweeden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
In July 2018, Austria takes over the presidency of the European Union and of EUROPEA International.
The opening and welcome was given by Mrs. Elisabeth Honingsberger, President of Europea Austria, and Mr. Karl Friewald, Head of the Lower Austrian School Authority, in which a lecture on «Innovation as an incentive for sustainable agriculture» was given, dealing mainly with what schools should offer, ensure and facilitate in order to keep up with innovations and how to transfer the results into the curriculum and daily work.
In parallel, the following events have been held during these days, which have shown the diversity of education and training in the green and agricultural sector:
- Seminar for representatives of green schools in Retz, Lower Austria, on the topic «Quality in the learning process by comparing and sharing project results».
- Workshops for students and teachers in 4 provinces, which will address the following topics:
- Increasing value with direct marketing – LFS Schlägl, Upper Austria
- Renewable Energies – LFS Güssing, Burgenland
- Agrotourism in the Alpine region of Pinzgau – LFS Bruck, Salzburgo
- Alpine agriculture – LFS Litzelhof, Carintia
- Student competition in livestock judging in Traboch and LFS Kobenz, Styria
Working Groups were held to discuss and update the «European Charter for Education in Agriculture 1999», in which very interesting proposals were made.
Mobility projects were positively valued as a method of sharing experiences, analysing application strategies, such as the elaboration of a common text for applicants, dissemination advice, ensuring continuity and above all increasing the quality of the projects.
Hence, new competencies were proposed on other topics and contents, basic regulations, working group configuration, strategies for enforcing public relations, production of articles for the website on various seminar topics, ranging from workshop results to strategies for facilitating intercultural and social exchanges on demand or the European dimension in international cooperation.
Finally, a closing event was organised for all participants in Vienna by the Spanish Riding School (morning training of the famous Lippizan white horses) with a buffet lunch at the Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism.
